(March 29, 2009)  At the end of our meeting, the Board was approached by the owners of Second Cup to spread the word about Build our Bank, April 14th, an event to raise funds and awareness of a Village on Bank Street. Visit Second Cup and other businesses in the proposed Village for more info.

(March 28, 2009)  The Board met this week with the President of the Ten Oaks Board of Directors. Ten Oaks is a camp for youth in the GLBT community. The Board decided to adopt them as our Charity of Choice. We will have the opportunity to raise money and volunteer for the camp - maybe even give a seminar for "Alternative-Bodied" gay youth. (March 9, 2009)  The Board met for its first meeting this week. We used the time to get to know each other and to throw ideas around for events this year.  I can tell you a lot of great ideas were discussed - things you didn't even know Bears could do!

We're meeting again after the Brunch this Sunday to plan the calendar of events for the year. Send me your ideas now, bring them with you to brunch, or, if you're still waiting for inspiration, tell us when it strikes you. It's never too late to put in your two cents.
